LONDON, England (HBS) — Huw Edwards, former anchor of BBC News and important figure in the news industry, is now the latest in a long list of celebrities exposed to have been pedophiles.
Per the BBC, his former employer, he has been charged with making indecent images of children, with the offenses taking place between 2020-22. Police arrested him in November, and went on to charge him on June 26th. The offenses are said to be in relation to a WhatsApp chat.
HBS thoroughly condemns these actions, and is shocked, appalled, and disappointed to hear that such an inspiring figure has turned out to be such a horrible criminal. We send our prayers and condolences to the innocent children that he exploited.
Edwards is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
