Mist Weather Media drops HBS – what this means going forward

This article will not be covering the circumstances of, nor anybody’s opinions about this development. Any article covering that is to be taken with a grain of salt, and not to be written by Quinn.

Earlier this week, independent IPTV streaming service Mist Weather Media informed HBS staff that they were being dropped from the service, citing the network’s often sporadic and inconsistent streaming schedule. This makes sense, given that HBS has only streamed a few times since the service’s inception.

This, of course, means that we no longer have a place to stream. Given our lack of options at the moment, HBS staff has made the decision to shift our focus away from streaming. When originally announcing the shift on the HBS Discord server, CEO and founder Hainesnoids said that he “no longer considered HBS Video to be a top priority.”

Occasional live streams will happen on the HBS YouTube channel, with a similar “schedule” to the HBS network feed. We are currently looking into new solutions, however, this is not our top priority. Instead, we will focus more on the blog, writing new and exciting articles for our viewers.

We apologize deeply to the fans of our live broadcasts. Ever since their inception in late 2023, they’ve had a small, yet dedicated fanbase. We sincerely hope to bring back streams at some point, with HBS staff aiming to get things back up and running by Q2 2025 at the latest. Until then, stay tuned to our website for more of the news that you wanna hear.

Thank you for your continued support of HBS.
