StratoSTAR by Hiro breaks affiliation with zachNet; theories and more

GRAY SUMMIT, Missouri (HBS) — Late Wednesday evening, zachNet affiliate StratoSTAR by Hiro announced its disaffiliation from all third party partnerships, citing “several reasons … some of which I cannot disclose” as to why this decision was made.

StratoSTAR by Hiro is an IntelliSTAR-based streaming platform, similar to that of ZNTV and the upcoming RFNet, generally covering the mainland United States. It will continue to operate as a YouTube platform, per the announcement made on zachNet’s Hub.

The full announcement issued by Hiro Monday night.

No specific reasons were given, however, the announcement mentions the project putting “great burdens on me as a creator,” alluding to possible pressure put on them by the weather tech community. Other than that, we do not know any further details as to why this decision was made. We theorize that this may be due to legal issues, given the legally gray status of possessing TWC software, along with past statements made by Hiro.

We have attempted to reach out to both Hiro and zachNet for comment, however, we were unable to contact Hiro, and have not yet received a response from Zach.
